A Metropolitan VIC hospital requires a Registrar/PHO in General Practice from 01/01/2026 to 25/02/2026.

We're seeking experienced and compassionate doctors to support youth-focused care programs providing comprehensive medical, sexual health, and addiction services for young people in secure settings.

You'll work across small residential facilities caring for young people, supported at all times by nurses and youth support staff. These roles focus on preventative, primary, and acute care within safe, structured environments.

Key Features:

Shadowing and orientation provided before independent practice.
Supportive team environment with established clinical protocols.
Non-billing role.
All consultations supported by nursing or care staff.
Emphasis on safety, respect, and trauma-informed care.

Shifts:

3 x 6 hour shifts per week.
Start times versatile.

Scope:

GP Registrar or PGY5+ doctor with an interest in youth, sexual health, or addiction medicine.




Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to providing care with dignity and respect for vulnerable young people.
