Parade College is a Catholic secondary school with campuses at Bundoora and Preston. Parade College RTO
The Edmund Rice Trade Training Centre was established at the Bundoora campus at the beginning of **** and the Preston campus in ****. To support the focus of the Centre, Parade College was granted Registered Training Organisation (RTO) status in October ****. Since this time the College provides pre-apprenticeship and VET training to students in years 10, 11 and 12 who are intending on pursuing post-secondary studies either at TAFE or university; apprenticeships, or employment.
Tertiary Pathways Program
Starting in Term ******, our VCE Vocational Major program, based at our Preston campus, has expanded our student offerings by introducing a new Tertiary Pathways Program. The Tertiary Pathways Program includes a second stream of our highly successful Sport Academy, along with a new Business Academy. Both academies provide a bespoke educational opportunity that allow students to gain direct entry into a number of undergraduate tertiary courses at La Trobe University upon completion of the two-year course.
The College offers a range of vocational courses to both internal and external secondary students. Our courses are delivered by fully accredited trainers whose industry based knowledge and skills remain relevant and current.
The Position
The College is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated VET Trainer to join our team in an ongoing capacity teaching the Certificate II Small Business Operations and Innovation course. Applications are invited from individuals who can demonstrate a passion for business studies and offer engaging teaching and learning experiences that will challenge and inspire our students.
This position is available for commencement from 27 January ****. Full-time and part-time applications will be considered.
Candidates will:
Be committed to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.
Be able to articulate a commitment to learning and teaching
Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.
Have appropriate graduate and industry experience to teach a VET subject (i.e. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or the Teacher Skill Set).
Be a registered (or willing to obtain registration) Teacher in Victoria or Specialist Vocational Education and Training (VET) Registration (Permission to Teach).
