A Northern NSW hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in General Practice from 26/11/2024.

SHIFTS:

****hours Tuesday 26th November **** ongoing – we would offer a 3 x month contract to start.

From 19th December **** until 6th January **** the GP clinic will close for the holiday season so the Doctor would be covering the ED and inpatients plus on call only in this time.
The GP clinic then reopens from the 6th.

Remuneration is at the NSW Health capped locum rate of $****/day (24hours period) per rostered shift CMO/GPs with more than 5 years' experience and/or Fellowship.

We need an experienced Medical Officer/s (PGY5 +) who is able to work as a Sole Practitioner to cover the MPS including GP Clinic, ED and Inpatient Medical Ward. The Doctor will be working as a Sole Practitioner with direct telephone links to Lismore Base Hospital Consultants. The locum will be supported in the hospital by very experienced Senior Nurses in the ward and ED.

The community health service includes an Aboriginal Health Worker, Allied Health, Community Nursing and Wound Care Clinic. The Emergency Department provides care 24/7.





The GP Clinic operates Monday to Friday 9-5, from the MPS.

The MPS provides a 15bed high care Residential Aged Care unit offering supported living with an Activities Officer and Nurses.The inpatient unit has four single rooms.
