CEALS Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team in Berwick, VIC.

As Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, presentation and quality whilst leading kitchen operations and inspiring your team to culinary excellence.What you'll be doingPlanning, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentations standardsOverseeing food preparation processes to ensure consistency, quality and adherence to health and safety regulationsManaging kitchen inventory, stock rotation and ordering supplies to minimise waste whilst maintaining cost effectivenessTraining, supervising and mentoring kitchen staff to develop their skills and maintain high performance standardsMaintaining strict hygiene protocols and ensuring the kitchen environment meets all food safety requirements and standardsCollaborating with management to develop recent menu items and seasonal specials that align with business objectivesMonitoring portion sizes and plating presentations to ensure all dishes meet company standards before serviceMaintaining kitchen equipment and reporting any maintenance issues promptly to ensure smooth operationsManaging kitchen workflow during service periods to ensure timely and efficient food deliveryResponding to dietary requirements and special requests from guests whilst maintaining quality standardsWhat we're looking forFormal culinary qualification or relevant hospitality training certificationProven experience working in a professional kitchen environment, ideally 3+ years in a Chef or senior cooking roleStrong knowledge of food safety,



hygiene standards and compliance requirements (such as Food Safety Supervisor certification)Proficiency in a range of cooking techniques and ability to prepare diverse cuisine typesExcellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop kitchen staffExceptional organisational and time management abilities, particularly during high-volume service periodsStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with front-of-house and management teamsAttention to detail with a commitment to maintaining the highest food quality and presentation standardsFlexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and operational demandsCurrent food handling and hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain if not currently held)What we offerCEALS Australia Pty Ltd is committed to providing a supportive and rewarding workplace for our team members.
