Casual Registered Nurse - Disability & Aged careCasual Registered Nurse (NDIS & Aged Care)Brighton & Tarneit, Melbourne VICCasual | Flexible schedule | Competitive Hourly RateWe are a growing registered NDIS provider expanding our clinical services across disability support and aged care.
As our organisation continues to grow, we are seeking experienced, compassionate, and clinically confident Registered Nurses to join our team on a casual basis.We currently have two priority complex care participants requiring immediate clinical oversight, with additional opportunities expected as we continue to expand our NDIS and aged care services.Current OpportunitiesBrightonProvide clinical oversight for an adult participant living with quadriplegia requiring high-intensity supports.Approximate commitment:Around 10 hours per monthCombination of on-site clinical visits and remote clinical supportEssential clinical experience:Male suprapubic catheter (SPC) management and catheter changesMedication managementHigh-intensity disability supportTarneitProvide clinical oversight for a young participant living with Cerebral Palsy and refractory epilepsy.Approximate commitment:Around 8 hours per monthOn-site clinical supportEssential clinical experience:PEG-J feeding managementEpilepsy managementPaediatric complex care (highly desirable)About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical governance and oversight to participants receiving high-intensity supports under the NDIS Practice Standards.Your responsibilities will include:Conducting comprehensive nursing and high-intensity support assessmentsDeveloping and reviewing individualised clinical care plansProviding competency-based training and ongoing clinical supervision to disability support workersPerforming clinical procedures within your scope of practiceSupporting medication management and monitoring participant health outcomesReviewing and signing off on clinical documentation, support worker competencies, care plans and progress notesMaintaining compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and organisational policiesLiaising with participants, families, allied health professionals, medical practitioners and external stakeholdersIdentifying clinical risks and implementing appropriate management strategiesContributing to continuous quality improvement across our disability and aged care servicesAbout YouYou are an experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys working independently while supporting participants with complex health needs.You will have:Current AHPRA registration as a Registered NurseCurrent First Aid and CPR certificationNational Police CheckWorking with Children Check (Employee)Current Victorian Driver Licence and reliable vehicleProfessional Indemnity Insurance (or willingness to obtain)Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skillsStrong communication and leadership skillsExperience training and mentoring support workersSound understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and high-intensity support requirementsHighly Desirable ExperienceApplicants with experience in one or more of the following will be highly regarded:Male suprapubic catheter (SPC) management and catheter changesPEG-J feedingComplex medication managementCerebral PalsyRefractory epilepsyQuadriplegiaHigh-intensity disability supportsCommunity nursingClinical governance within disability servicesAged care nursingWhy Join Us?
