How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space: The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play.
There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do: Leadership and development of a small team of Facilities staffManagement of cleaning/janitorial servicesManagement of waste collection servicesCollaboration with senior management team in locating and selecting new facilities as neededSelection and ordering of furniture/desks/chairs/etc for our facilitiesDevelopment of preventative maintenance schedules for all serviceable facilities equipment (HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, roller doors,



etc.)Coordination with contractors as needed to solve facilities related issues and make facilities related upgrades (Electricians, Plumbers, Dry‐Wallers, etc.)Developing CAD models and/or layouts of our facilitiesAssistance in designing spaces that facilitate efficient collaboration between our staff Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 5+ years' experience in a similar rolePositive attitude and strong work ethicAbility to lead a small teamNV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Certificate III in Electrotechnology ElectricianBachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or other technical disciplineDemonstrated ability to manage a teamProficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePointExperience negotiating contracts and comparing service costs to achieve maximum valueExperience coordinating with third‐party vendorsExperience managing budgetsExperience with asset management softwareKnowledge of building management and automated facilities monitoring systems and processes, such as: HVAC systems, fluid plumbing systems, fire suppression systems, generators, or fuel storage systemsAcute attention to detail and cleanliness standardsAbility to work independently with little directionAbility to meet deadlines in a fast‐paced, ever‐changing environmentAbility to anticipate needs and develop innovative solutions for continuous improvement Applicants must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident or have an appropriate Australian work visa or work entitlements.
