We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Officer to join the team of an established and reputable manufacturing organisation.This is a busy, hands-on customer service position where you will manage your own portfolio of customers and take ownership of their requirements from order entry through to fulfilment.The RoleReporting to the National Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while ensuring orders, enquiries and issues are managed accurately and efficiently.Your responsibilities will include:Processing high volumes of customer orders received via phone, email and EDIManaging your own portfolio of customersResponding to customer enquiries and resolving issues promptlyManaging back orders and proactively communicating with customers regarding availability and deliveryInvestigating and resolving customer complaintsProcessing credits and returned goodsMonitoring EDI orders and resolving order exceptionsLiaising closely with Sales, Planning, Inventory, Warehouse and LogisticsProviding customers with accurate information regarding orders,



stock and deliveryMaintaining accurate information within ERP/customer systemsIdentifying opportunities to improve processes and the overall customer experienceWorking collaboratively within a supportive national Customer Service teamAbout YouWe are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys customer service and takes pride in providing customers with a high level of support.Ideally, you will bring:3+ years' experience within Customer Service, Sales Support or Order ProcessingExperience working in a high-volume order environmentStrong understanding of the complete order-to-fulfilment processPrevious experience using ERP systemsExposure to EDI or automated order processing systems would be highly regardedStrong computer skills including Word, Excel and OutlookExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent time management and organisational skillsConfidence managing customer complaints and resolving problemsA positive, proactive and "can-do" attitudeThe ability to build strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholdersExperience within manufacturing, building products, industrial products, distribution or a similar environment would be highly advantageous.What We're Looking ForPersonality and attitude are important for this team.You will be someone who is positive, energetic, customer focused and accountable.
