We are growing fast and looking for a dynamic Finance Analyst to help manage and maintain relevant financials and commercial leasing arrangements across the organisation.This role is responsible for supporting the Management Accounting team through the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial information to facilitate effective business decision-making.
The role includes completing month-end close activities, preparing and reviewing profit and loss statements, analysing variances against budget and forecast, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and investigating reconciling items.
The Finance Analyst partners with stakeholders across the business to communicate financial insights, improve financial performance, and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while maintaining strong attention to detail and organisational skills consistently.Role PurposeTo work as part of the Management Accounting team to achieve the completion of an accurate and timely month-end close to assist key stakeholders with decision making.To analyse monthly results and partner with various stakeholders across the business to identify favourable and unfavourable variances against forecast and advise stakeholders on areas for improvement.Responsible for the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations,
including investigation of material reconciling itemsResponsibilitiesPrepare and finalise monthly profit and loss (P&L;) statements for venuesAnalysis of monthly venue profit and loss statementsReview and analyse labour costs and operating expense accrualsAnalyse monthly P&L; results and explain variances against budgetDevelop strong relationships with business stakeholdersCommunicate financial insights and findings to key stakeholdersBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and finance team membersReview weekly P&L; performance against budget and identify variancesPrepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate/reconcile material variancesWhat we need from youTechnical or functional expertise including excellent numeracy skillsAccuracy and attention to detailEffective organisation and time management skills.Ability and desire to grow with the organisation.Analytical and problem-solving skills.High level of drive, motivation, initiative and resilience.Robust written and verbal communication skillsHonesty, integrity and trustAbility to work in a teamExperience and BackgroundBachelor's degree majoring in financeA minimum of 12 months of practical experience within a large or mid-tier accounting firm or a similar role in industryStudying towards CA or CPA preferredSalary range from $85,000 to $95,000 depending on experience.
