Balance Planning Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Town Planner to join our team on a part-time basis.
Based in the Lower Blue Mountains, NSW, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future development of our communities.As a Town Planner, you will play a key role in developing and implementing planning application strategies that align with our clients' objectives and regulatory requirements.
This position is ideal for a professional seeking flexibility whilst maintaining meaningful involvement in planning projects.What you'll be doingConducting planning feasibility studies and site assessments to inform recommendations and application strategiesAdvising clients on planning compliance, zoning regulations and development potentialCollaborating with architects, engineers and other professionals to integrate planning considerations into project deliveryLiaising with local councils, government agencies and stakeholders to navigate planning requirements and secure approvalsStaying up to date with planning legislation, policy changes and industry best practiceWhat we're looking forTertiary qualification in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related disciplineMinimum 8 years' professional experience in town planning roles,



ideally with development application experienceStrong knowledge of NSW planning legislation, including the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and local planning instrumentsDemonstrated expertise in preparing planning documents and planning feasibility studiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex planning concepts clearly and succinctlyAbility to manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships effectivelyWhat we offerBalance Planning Pty Ltd is committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work environment.
