Full Job DescriptionWe are working with a tier‐one mining operation to source an SMP Supervisor for ongoing operational works across their mining assets.
This is a hands‐on, site‐based role, offered on a 7/7 FIFO roster from Brisbane or as a residential Mount Isa position.In this role, you will supervise Structural, Mechanical and Piping teams across brownfield operational sites.
You will manage steel erection crews, mechanical fitters, boilermakers, riggers and piping teams, ensuring safe, high‐quality work delivery while meeting operational schedules.
You will also read and interpret P&IDs;, structural drawings, and GA layouts to support daily site activities.This is a key leadership position where you will ensure efficient resource utilisation, maintain compliance, and support operational excellence across multiple mining plant assets.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise SMP teams across structural, mechanical and piping worksManage subcontractors and team performance onsiteOversee installation and maintenance of mining plant equipmentRead and interpret P&IDs;, GA and structural drawingsMonitor budgets, work progress and reportingEnsure safe work practices and compliance with site standardsAbout youProven experience supervising Structural,
