The role provides leadership, supervision,



and coordination of staff while driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement.Service DeliverySupervise and coordinate a team of freight staff within a designated operational areaEnsure productivity and performance criteria are achieved, including completion of regular performance assessmentsProvide leadership, training, and ongoing support to designated staffOrganise and allocate work to meet operational requirements and deadlinesMonitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvementMake recommendations to enhance productivity, efficiency, and service deliveryPerform administrative and reporting duties, including use of communication and computer systemsParticipate in probationary employee assessment panelsStandards, Compliance and SafetyEnsure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company proceduresPromote a safety-first culture within the teamEnsure all equipment and operational activities meet safety standardsReport hazards, incidents, and operational risks in a timely mannerDesired Skills and ExperienceSkills and ExperienceDemonstrated leadership experience in freight or ground handling operationsA valid Australian Driver's LicenceAbility to obtain and hold a valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)Ability to obtain and hold a valid Airside Driving Authority (ADA)Fluent in English, excellent written and verbal communication skillsCompetent in the operational requirements of Ground Handling (ideal)Working understanding of the Aviation IndustryExcellent organisation and time management skills to ensure safe and compliant operations with schedule pressuresStrong ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines
