Engineering Manager, Brownfield ProjectsGladstone, QLD (Brisbane-based candidates also considered)We are seeking an Onsite Engineering Manager to act as the site-facing engineering interface on a major operating industrial facility in Central Queensland.This is a role for someone who enjoys being on the plant, not behind a desk in a project office.
You will be the trusted engineering point of contact for site stakeholders, shaping brownfield and Management of Change (MOC) work from first identification through to packaged delivery by a global engineering team.What you will doAct as the primary onsite engineering contact for project, operations and maintenance stakeholdersIdentify, prioritise and scope brownfield, MOC and small-to-medium engineering packagesLead site walkdowns and capture field data, constraints and assumptionsTranslate site requirements into transparent, complete engineering inputs for an offshore delivery teamCoordinate package kick-offs, work packaging, discipline alignment and delivery planningManage technical queries, review comments and issue resolution between site and the design teamTrack progress, actions,



risks and decisions across multiple packagesBuild client confidence through visible ownership, responsiveness and clear communicationWhat you will bringAn engineering background from any discipline, with genuine exposure to Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) scopesStrong experience on brownfield, live plant or heavy industrial sitesA working understanding of MOC-driven engineering, site constraints and operational safetyThe ability to convert site inputs into clear engineering deliverables and well-defined scopes of workConfidence engaging operations, maintenance, reliability and project stakeholdersExperience coordinating with offshore or remote engineering teams will be highly regardedRPEQ registration, or experience working alongside RPEQ and local compliance partners, is an advantage but not essentialWhy this roleYou will have real ownership of the site-to-engineering interface on a live industrial facility, with the autonomy to shape how work is identified, scoped and delivered.
