The Opportunity

Work within an elite professional sporting environment and play a vital role in maximising player availability, delivering high-performance medical care, and facilitating athlete development across our NRL and NSW Cup programs.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Physiotherapist as our NRL Assistant & NSW Cup Lead Physiotherapist to join our football's Performance & Medical Team.

You will report to the Head of Medical with the following responsibilities:

Serve as the
Lead Physiotherapist for the NSW Cup program

Support the NRL medical team in delivering physiotherapy services to NRL players

Assess, diagnose and manage player injuries

Develop and oversee rehabilitation and return-to-play programs

Provide medical coverage for NSW Cup training sessions and match days

Support injury prevention, athlete monitoring and recovery initiatives

Conduct objective testing and readiness assessments

Collaborate with coaches, strength & conditioning staff, sports scientists and medical personnel

Maintain accurate medical records and injury reporting processes

Coordinate player medical handovers across Pathways, NSW Cup and NRL programs

To be Successful in this role, you will be
required
to have:

Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy

Current AHPRA Registration

Current CPR and First Aid Certification

Working With Children Check

Full Australian Driver's Licence

Working rights in Australia

We would love you to have:





Sports Physiotherapy qualifications

Sports Trainer Level 2 (or equivalent)

And bring the following
skills and experience
:

Experience working within professional sport or high-performance environments, preferably rugby league

Demonstrated experience managing rehabilitation and return-to-play programs

Experience providing match-day medical coverage

Robust communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary high-performance team

High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

Employment Conditions

Part-time position (20 hours per week)

Flexibility required, including attendance at training sessions, match days, weekends and club events

Interstate and international travel may be required

Compliance with NRL and Club policies, including the NRL Code of Conduct
