working from 7:30am-3:30pm with overtime available.Dutiesinclude however are not limited to the below tasks:Load and unload of trucks, trailers, containers, and rail wagonsSort and check freight against customer delivery paperworkRestrain loads as per the National Load Restraint GuidePalletise and pack loadsHandle general and non standard freightCounterbalance forklift operationHeavy lifting and dunnage dutiesSecuring and restraining loads in a safe manner as per operational requirementsPerform vehicle pre-start checksReport all damage freight and shortages via the exception reporting processPerform general housekeeping of trailers, wagons and SCT's premisesComplying with the Warehouse Traffic Management PlanEnsure compliance with all of SCT's policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation.Desired Skills and ExperienceThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:Current LF High Risk Work license.Experience operating a Forklift in a transit warehouseKnowledge & experience with load restraint procedures.Knowledge of Chain of ResponsibilityTeam playerReliable and punctualIn return we offer a competitive hourly rate of $***** per hour with consistent hours and overtime available.
