We are currently seeking a 2 - 5-year Electrical Engineer to provide critical design, integration and systems performance for an cutting-edge naval defence project.MUST be an Australian Citizen eligible for Defence security clearance.Location: Newcastle NSWRole: Electrical EngineerPermanent full-timeKey Responsibilities:Produce and review electrical design documentation including Single LineDiagrams, Cable Schedules, Electrical Power Load Analysis, equipment lists, and termination schedulesSupport component and equipment selection for 440 VAC, 240 VAC and 24 VDC power, control and instrumentation systemsConsider environmental and installation requirements during equipment selection, including IP rating, vibration, moisture, temperature, and suitability for the operating environmentContribute to electrical calculations, technical documentation, and design reviewsSupport interface definition and coordination across electrical, control and mechanical disciplinesReview supplier and subcontractor documentation for technical compliance with project requirementsSupport electrical system design activities involving power distribution, control and instrumentation,



and CAN-based communications networksContribute to engineering change management, design maturity, and technical risk identification across the project lifecycleWork with system and stakeholder requirements to support electrical design development, traceability, and compliance through the project lifecyclePrerequisites:Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer, Marine Systems Engineer, or similarExperience in the development of electrical design documentation for industrial, marine, infrastructure or other complex projectsWorking knowledge of 440 VAC, 240 VAC and 24 VDC electrical systems, including control and instrumentationExperience with Single Line Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Load Analysis, and equipment selectionFamiliarity with environmental considerations including IP rating, vibration, moisture, temperature and installation constraintsUnderstanding of CAN networks and their application within control systemsStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teamsA structured, solutions-focused approach to engineering design and technical documentationAustralian Citizenship.
