Electricians - Alcoa Portland Aluminium Smelter

Engineering Trades Australia (ETA) is currently seeking experienced Electricians with strong heavy industrial, brownfields construction andtelecommunications/testingexperience for a project at the Alcoa Portland Aluminium Smelter in Portland, Victoria.
This is an initial short term project, with the client holding a 3-year contract, providing robust potential for ongoing work for the right candidates.
Position Details
Location: Portland, VIC
Project: Alcoa Portland Aluminium Smelter
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Initial short term, with potential for ongoing work
Roster: 9-day fortnight / 8-hour days, with an initial 38-hour week
Pay Rate: $***** per hour + penalties + allowances
Overtime: Initially 38 hours per week, so no overtime anticipated at commencement
About the Role
Working within a live heavy industrial environment, you will be involved in a range of brownfields construction and electrical installation activities, including:
Pulling and installing CAT 6 cabling
Installing media converters
Rewiring conveyors
Installing 6-foot screens
Electrical testing and fault finding
Telecommunications installation and testing
General electrical installation and maintenance associated with the project
Requirements
To be considered, you will need:
Current Victorian Electrical License
Proven heavy industrial electrical experience
Previous brownfields construction experience
Telecommunications/datacabling experience
Strong electrical testing and fault-finding skills
EWP High Risk Work License - desirable
Working at Heights - desirable
Confined Space & Gas Test - desirable
LVR CPR
Ability to work safely within a live industrial environment
Must be clean shaven to comply with face-fit respiratory protection requirements
