We are seeking a reliable and motivated Trades Assistant to join our Asset Maintenance Team at our Capalaba bus depot on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
Capalaba is a suburb located in the Redland City area, about ***** km east-southeast of Brisbane CBD with a typical travel time of around 35 minutes by car.In this role you'll play a key support function by assisting our skilled tradespeople across a variety of areas, including mechanical, infrastructure, panel, and cleaning functions.

Our values — Care, Share, Dare, Deliver — guide everything we do.What You'll DoSupport routine and non routine asset, fleet, depot, and infrastructure maintenance activitiesPrepare vehicles, components, tools, and work areas for maintenance and inspection tasksAssist our skilled tradespeople with inspections, component handling, installation, and removal under supervisionIdentify, report, and escalation defects, damage,



and safety concernsMaintain fleet presentation through internal, external, engine bay, and under body cleaningAssist with depot, workshop, and building maintenance, including cleaning and basic repairsSupport breakdown response activities and service changeovers to maintain operational continuityCollect, deliver, and manage parts, materials, and equipment as requiredTransport fleet vehicles to and from suppliers and external contractorsAssist with fleet movements to support asset availabilityProvide flexible, team based support across the Asset Maintenance function to meet operational needsWhat You BringPrevious experience in a workshop, transport, or industrial environmentMedium Rigid licence or aboveForklift licence or the ability to obtain itA positive, reliable, and safety focused approachAbility to follow instructions and work effectively under supervisionWillingness to support a wide range of tasks in a workshop and depot environmentGood communication skills and a team focused attitudeDiversity, equity, and inclusion at our coreWe are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
