We are seeking a skilled and HVAC Technician or 3/4 Year apprentice to join the team at Valortec.
This is a full-time position based on the north side of Brisbane.
As an HVAC Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for our diverse clientele.
Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our clients' systems operate efficiently and reliably, whilst contributing to the growth and reputation of Valortec as a trusted service provider in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.Key responsibilitiesMaintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems for commercial, and industrial clientsDiagnose system malfunctions and perform troubleshooting to identify the root cause of issuesConduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure systems are operating at optimal efficiencyTest systems using appropriate tools and gauges to verify proper functioning and safety complianceReplace defective components such as compressors, fans, thermostats, and refrigerant linesCharge and recover refrigerants in compliance with environmental and safety regulationsDocument all work performed, including service reports and maintenance recordsCommunicate effectively with clients to explain technical issues and recommend solutionsEnsure all work is completed to the highest standard and in accordance with industry codes and regulationsMaintain a secure working environment and adhere to all health and safety protocolsWhat we're looking forValid refrigeration and air conditioning licence or equivalent qualification recognised in QueenslandProven experience as an HVAC technician or in a related role within the air conditioning and refrigeration industryStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation,



and refrigeration componentsProficiency with diagnostic tools, pressure gauges, multimeters, and refrigerant recovery equipmentSound understanding of electrical systems and wiring as they relate to HVAC equipmentExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills and a customer-focused approachA current driver's licence and reliable transport for travelling to client locationsWhat we offerAt Valortec, we are committed to supporting the professional development and wellbeing of our team members.
