About the roleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cafe Assistant Manager to join our team at the Coolangatta Surf Club in Coolangatta, QLD.
In this full-time salaried role, you will play a pivotal part in the day-to-day operations of our busy cafe, Board Short Barista assisting the Cafe Manager in ensuring efficient and exceptional customer service.What you'll be doingAssisting the Cafe Manager in overseeing all cafe operations, including staff rostering, stock control, and cash management.Providing exceptional customer service and managing customer inquiries and complaintsEnsuring the cafe's high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and presentation are maintainedProviding hands-on support in the cafe, including barista duties, food preparation, and serving customersCoaching and mentoring the cafe's team of Baristas and Cafe AssistantsAssisting with administrative tasks such as stock ordering, invoicing,
and reportingWhat we're looking forMinimum 2 years' experience in a similar cafe assistant manager or supervisory roleStrong customer service skills and the ability to provide a welcoming and efficient cafe experienceExcellent barista skills and experience in food preparationDemonstrated experience in staff management and coachingStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesExcellent time management and organisational skillsA passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality serviceWhat we offerAt the Coolangatta Surf Club, we pride ourselves on our positive and supportive team culture.
