Performance Aviation provides a comprehensive and expert maintenance, modification, and support service for a broad range of fixed wing aircraft.About The RoleMotivated and enthusiastic B1 and B2 Aircraft Maintenance Apprentices are sought to join the Performance Aviation Engineering team based at Shellharbour Airport.
This is an opportunity to build a career in aircraft maintenance while gaining practical, hands‐on experience working alongside experienced aviation maintenance professionals.
As an apprentice, you will develop skills and knowledge across a range of aircraft maintenance activities relevant to your chosen B1 or B2 pathway, working under the supervision and direction of a LAME.
The role is primarily based at Shellharbour Airport,



with opportunities and requirements to travel to other sites throughout Australia as operational needs arise.What You'll LearnB1 apprentices: airframe, mechanical and engine-related maintenance activities, including inspections, servicing, repairs, component replacement and aircraft systemsB2 apprentices: aircraft electrical, instrument, communication, navigation and avionics systems, including inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, repairs and component replacementAircraft inspections, servicing and maintenance; fault finding and repairsAircraft engines, airframes and mechanical systems; avionics and electrical systemsAircraft component removal and installationCASA, safety and maintenance requirements; maintenance documentation and quality standardsEssential RequirementsCurrently undertaking, or eligible to commence, a B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineering ApprenticeshipA solid interest in pursuing a career in aviation engineeringGood attention to detail and a commitment to safety and qualityStrong communication and teamwork skillsA current driver's licence, or the ability to obtain oneAuthority to live and work in AustraliaDesirablePrevious aviation, mechanical, engineering or trade experience.BenefitsEmployee Benefit Discount Program across Experience Co productsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Additional leave purchase planReward and Recognition ProgramsTraining and study assistance programsCareer pathways to become a qualified aircraft maintenance engineer
