This role is responsible for the safe and timely pickup and delivery of freight across the Melbourne metropolitan area, while providing excellent customer service and ensuring freight is handled safely and efficiently.Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.What You'll DoSafely collect and deliver general and express freight to customersLoad, unload and secure freight in accordance with safety requirementsComplete freight scanning and Proof of Delivery (POD) accuratelyCollect and manage consignment paperwork and manifestsEnsure freight is packaged and transported safelyMaintain a professional and customer‐focused approach at all timesComply with road rules, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements and TGE safety proceduresConduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptlyWhat You'll BringCurrent HR Driver's Licence – essentialPrevious pickup and delivery experience within general or express freightForklift Licence – preferredStrong customer service and communication skillsKnowledge of freight scanning and POD processesExperience with load restraint systems and equipment preferredUnderstanding of Load Restraint Guidelines desirableAbility to work independently and manage daily delivery schedulesStrong commitment to safety and reliable work ethicAbility to successfully complete required pre‐employment checksWhy Join Team Global Express?
