Pharmacy Melbourne Full Time Slade PharmacyAbout The RoleAre you ready to take on a pivotal leadership role that blends strategic direction, operational oversight and strong partnership management?
We are seeking an experienced pharmacy leader to oversee the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services at Slade Pharmacy Berwick, located within St John of God Hospital Berwick.
This is a fantastic opportunity to guide a dedicated team, support service development and ensure outstanding patient care across the hospital.As Pharmacy Manager, you will provide operational and clinical leadership to the onsite pharmacy team, partnering closely with hospital executives, nursing teams and key stakeholders to ensure pharmacy services are protected, efficient and aligned with hospital needs.
This position reports to the Regional Manager – Southeast Melbourne, and plays an important role in maintaining strong client relationships and meeting performance, safety and quality standards.The key duties and responsibilities of this position are outlined below:Operational OversightDeliver best practice pharmacy services that support safe, high-quality patient careOversee and coordinate clinical and operational activities for the St John of God Berwick and Langmore HospitalsOversee and support the pharmacy service at Berwick Specialist CentreEnsure the pharmacy meets agreed clinical, operational and business performance metricsMonitor and report on service performance, compliance requirements and contractual obligationsLead workflow and service improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality and patient outcomesStrategic LeadershipDevelop and implement strategies that strengthen the pharmacy's partnership with St John of God HospitalIdentify opportunities to expand, enhance or improve service deliverySupport long-term planning to ensure sustainability, quality and alignment with hospital prioritiesRelationship ManagementBuild strong, collaborative working relationships with executives,



senior clinicians and operational teamsManage escalations and work proactively to resolve service issuesTeam DevelopmentFoster an engaged, supportive and collaborative team cultureCoach and mentor staff to build capability, confidence and professional growthOversee recruitment, training and ongoing development of pharmacy team membersCompliance and GovernanceEnsure adherence to all regulatory, accreditation and organisational requirementsMaintain robust governance processes, audit readiness and medication safety standardsIdentify and mitigate risks through proactive planning and continuous reviewWho are we looking for?
We are seeking a leader with proven experience in hospital pharmacy, strong operational capability and a track record of guiding teams through change and growth.
You will bring excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, strong clinical understanding and the ability to influence effectively at all levels.In return, you will step into a meaningful leadership role that directly contributes to patient care at St John of God Hospital Berwick.
