The CompanyOur client is an established commercial fit-out contractor delivering highly detailed and technically projects valued up to $20m.Working across premium workplaces and other specialised commercial environments, the business is recognised for its high-quality finishes, team-oriented approach and ability to deliver challenging projects with demanding programs.Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead projects through tender, design development and construction handover.The RoleThe Preconstruction Manager will take ownership of opportunities from initial client engagement through to contract award and project commencement.You will coordinate estimating, design, programming, procurement and delivery planning to ensure each project is commercially sound, technically resolved and positioned for a successful construction phase.This is a senior role requiring strong commercial fit-out knowledge, leadership capability and the ability to bring together clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the preconstruction process from initial opportunity through to project handoverReview tender documentation, client briefs,
drawings and specificationsDevelop tender strategies in collaboration with the estimating and leadership teamsCoordinate design development and resolve buildability issuesManage consultants and ensure design information meets program requirementsReview project scope, methodology, staging, logistics and construction programsIdentify commercial, design, procurement and delivery risksLead value-management initiatives without compromising design intent or qualityAbout YouSignificant preconstruction, estimating or project management experienceStrong background in commercial fit-out and refurbishment projectsExperience delivering or tendering projects valued up to $20mThorough understanding of high-end finishes and detailed constructionStrong knowledge of design management, buildability and construction methodologyAbility to interpret architectural, services and engineering documentationSound commercial judgment and contract awarenessExperience managing consultants and specialist subcontractorsAbility to lead multiple tenders and preconstruction programs concurrentlyWhat's on OfferSenior leadership role within an established fit-out contractorExposure to sophisticated and highly detailed commercial projectsOpportunity to shape projects before they enter the delivery phaseDirect involvement with clients, consultants and company leadershipCollaborative culture with experienced estimating and delivery teams
