Are you an experienced Health, Safety & Environment professional looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact without spending everyday firefighting?
We're partnering with a global engineering and manufacturing organisation to recruit an HSE Manager for their Western Sydney facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building systems, maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement and partnering with leaders across the business.This site is well-established with a strong safety culture, meaning the role is focused less on responding to high-risk incidents and more on maintaining robust HSE systems, documentation, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.The RoleReporting to the Site Leader, you'll take ownership of all Health, Safety & Environmental activities across the site while working closely with local leadership and the wider global HSE network.Managing and continuously improving the site's HSE Management SystemMaintaining policies, procedures and documentation to ensure legislative complianceLeading internal audits, inspections and risk assessmentsInvestigating incidents and identifying opportunities for continuous improvementMonitoring HSE performance, reporting on KPIs and analysing trendsSupporting environmental,
ergonomics and industrial hygiene initiativesCoordinating safety committees and promoting a positive safety cultureSupporting employee inductions and ongoing HSE trainingActing as the site's primary HSE advisor for internal and external stakeholdersParticipating in occasional HSE Excellence assessments at other sitesAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you'll bring:A recognised WHS/HSE qualification (Certificate IV, Diploma, NEBOSH or equivalent)At least 5 years' experience in an HSE role within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environmentsStrong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and HSE management systemsExperience conducting audits, investigations and risk assessmentsExcellent documentation, reporting and analytical skillsStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsThe ability to influence positive safety outcomes across all levels of the businessStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPointExperience with ISO management systems, continuous improvement and ergonomics will be highly regardedWhat's on Offer?
