We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team at the Carmichael Mine in Central Queensland.
This is a hands‐on, site‐based HR role where you'll partner closely with operational leaders, provide practical HR advice and support employee relations, performance and workforce matters.

About the Role
As an HR Advisor, you'll provide day‐to‐day HR support across site, working closely with supervisors, managers and employees to help maintain a safe, compliant and high‐performing workplace.
You'll be responsible for:
Providing practical HR advice across employee relations and people managementSupporting performance management, investigations, grievances, misconduct and disciplinary mattersPreparing HR documentation including warnings, investigation outcomes,



performance improvement plans and termination correspondenceCoaching leaders on employment legislation, Enterprise Agreement interpretation and HR best practiceSupporting fitness for work, return‐to‐work and absenteeism matters in partnership with the Health teamBuilding strong relationships with leaders and employees across siteWorking with Payroll, Travel and Site Administration to resolve employee and roster‐related mattersSupporting HR projects, initiatives and continuous improvement activitiesEscalating complex employee relations matters where appropriate
About You
You're a confident HR professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and providing practical, solutions‐focused advice.
You'll bring:
Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist roleTertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experienceExperience across employee relations, investigations, performance management and disciplinary processesWorking knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Awards and/or Enterprise AgreementsStrong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skillsExcellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing prioritiesA practical and approachable style with the confidence to work with leaders at all levelsExperience in mining, construction, civil, manufacturing or another industrial environment will be highly regarded
