Please specify...Verification *Thank you for your feedbackYour input helps us improve our service.About PowerfleetPowerfleet is a global leader in connected vehicle and fleet intelligence solutions, helping organisations connect, protect and optimise their mobile assets through innovative technology and data-driven solutions.We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our Australian team in Adelaide.This role is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, security and performance of database environments supporting Powerfleet's enterprise telematics and fleet management platforms.About the RoleAs Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining reliable, secure and well-governed database environments across our customer platforms.Key responsibilities include:Administer, configure and maintain database environments supporting enterprise telematics and fleet management platforms.Establish and configure database environments during customer onboarding and system implementation.Configure and maintain database settings, user roles, permissions and access controls.Monitor database performance, availability and integrity and investigate identified anomalies.Perform database configuration audits to identify inconsistencies and maintain configuration standards across environments.Maintain database naming conventions in accordance with internal governance standards.Maintain database backups,
configuration records and associated technical documentation to support restoration and disaster recovery requirements.Implement database configuration changes and upgrades.Validate database environments following configuration changes, system releases and software updates.Undertake database testing and performance monitoring to maintain system reliability.Investigate and resolve database errors, performance issues and configuration problems.Perform root cause analysis of database-related incidents and implement appropriate corrective actions.Maintain accurate records of database changes, configurations and system administration activities.Develop and maintain database administration procedures, configuration standards and operational documentation.Apply appropriate database security, data protection and performance management practices.Work collaboratively with internal technical teams to support database reliability, system improvements and platform changes.Identify opportunities to improve database administration processes, controls and operational efficiency.About YouTo be successful in this position, you will have:A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Database Administration or a related discipline,
or equivalent relevant professional experience.Demonstrated professional experience working as a Database Administrator or in a substantially similar database administration position.Strong experience administering, configuring and maintaining database environments.Experience managing database users, roles, permissions and access controls.Experience with database backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes.Experience monitoring database performance, integrity and availability.Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve database configuration and performance issues.Experience implementing and validating database configuration changes and upgrades.Understanding of database security, data protection and access‐control principles.Experience maintaining database administration procedures and technical documentation.Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to database governance and change management.Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical stakeholders.Experience working with databases supporting enterprise software, IoT, telematics, fleet management or connected technology environments will be highly regarded.Why Join Powerfleet?
