Payroll & Finance Officer Contract | IpswichWe're currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a well-established organisation on a 3 month temporary contract basis, ideally starting immediately.The RoleThis role will see you taking ownership of payroll processing while also supporting the broader finance team with reporting, reconciliations and general finance administration.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working autonomously, can hit the ground running, and has strong experience managing payroll in a complex environment.Key Responsibilities:End-to-end payroll processing, including pay runs, leave, terminations and payroll adjustmentsManaging payroll enquiries and providing timely support to employeesMaintaining accurate payroll records and employee dataInterpreting awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislationPayroll reconciliations and month-end reportingPreparing payroll reports, variance analysis and workforce dataEnsuring compliance with superannuation, taxation and payroll obligationsResolving payroll discrepanciesSupporting finance projects,
process improvements and documentation updatesAssisting with bank reconciliations and broader finance team activities as requiredAbout YouProven experience processing end-to-end payrollUnderstanding of payroll legislation, awards and enterprise agreementsHigh attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlinesConfident handling employee payroll queries and stakeholder communicationIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsExperience with payroll reporting, reconciliations and compliance requirementsAvailable to commence at short noticeWhat's on Offer?
