THE OPPORTUNITY:We currently have an prospect for an experienced Senior Pump Technician to join our workshop team in Neerabup.This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced technician who can work independently, confidently diagnose faults and complete high-quality pump repairs and overhauls.
You will also provide technical guidance to other team members and help maintain high standards of safety, workmanship and workshop efficiency.Key responsibilities will include:Conducting inspections, testing, fault-finding, servicing and repairs of submersible pumps and associated equipmentDiagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and recommending appropriate repair solutionsCompleting complex pump repairs and overhauls to the required technical and quality standardsProviding technical support, guidance and on-the-job mentoring to less experienced techniciansConducting final inspections and testing to confirm equipment is safe, compliant and ready for return to serviceAssisting with the planning and coordination of workshop repairs and prioritiesAccurately completing repair reports, delivery dockets and other workshop documentationLiaising with internal stakeholders and customers regarding repairs, technical requirements and job progressLoading and unloading pumps, parts and stock from couriers and delivery vehiclesMaintaining a safe,
clean and well-organised workshopCompleting deliveries and travelling to customer sites, including underground mining locations, as requiredIdentifying opportunities to improve workshop processes, safety and service qualityABOUT YOUTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:Demonstrated experience servicing, diagnosing and repairing pumps, rotating equipment or similar mechanical equipmentStrong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving capabilitiesThe ability to complete repairs independently and consistently deliver a high standard of workmanshipExperience providing technical guidance or mentoring to less experienced team membersA mechanical trade qualification or substantial relevant industry experienceSound knowledge of workshop tools, equipment and safe work practicesStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesA reliable and professional approach, with pride in the quality of your workGood verbal and written communication skillsA strong commitment to a ZERO Harm cultureThe ability and willingness to travel to customer and underground mine sites when requiredThe following qualifications will be highly regarded:Previous experience with submersible pumpsExperience working within the mining, dewatering or industrial services sectorsMR or HR class driver's licenceHigh Risk Work Licence - ForkliftCurrent LVR and CPR certificationWHAT WE OFFERYou'll enjoy competitive employment conditions and wage rates, supported by a company that truly believes our people are our strength.
