A growing food manufacturing business in Melbourne's South-East is expanding following new contract wins and is looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter / Maintenance Technician to join their team.
This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a rapid-paced production environment and wants to be part of a growing business.

About the Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the reliability and ongoing operation of the site's plant and equipment.
The role will involve:
Planned,
preventative and reactive maintenanceMechanical fault finding and breakdown repairsSupporting production to minimise downtimeGeneral maintenance and repairs across plant and equipmentAssisting with continuous improvement and equipment reliabilityWorking with contractors and external service providers when requiredEnsuring maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
What We're Looking For
Mechanical Trade Qualification – Maintenance Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalentPrevious experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar industrial environmentStrong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skillsExperience with preventative and breakdown maintenanceGood communication skillsA strong team player who works well with Production and other departmentsReliable, proactive and hands‐on approachTIG welding, fabrication or basic PLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous
