Located in Port Douglas | occasional travel to CairnsFull Time, attractive roster 4 days per week | 3-day weekendAbout the roleWe currently have an chance for a hard working, reliable Electrician to join our Engineering Department based in Port Douglas.This is a full-time position offering an attractive roster of four days on and three days off.
During scheduled boat refit periods, a fifth workday may be required.
The role involves minimal weekend work and limited after-hours callouts.The position is primarily based in Port Douglas, with occasional travel to Cairns during refits.
Travel to and from Cairns is provided during work hours.The role focuses on the maintenance of the Quicksilver fleet, including vessels, pontoons and land-based infrastructure.
This hands-on position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.Reporting to the Engineering Workshop Manager your key responsibilities will include:Carry out routine electrical maintenance and repairs on vessels and facilitiesSupport the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems, including switchboards, lighting, batteries and generatorsEnsure compliance with relevant electrical and marine safety standardsAssist with refit and upgrade projects as requiredWork collaboratively with marine engineers and operations teamsAbout youWe are looking for candidates with:A current QLD Electrical LicenceExperience with marine electrical systems (preferred,
