Full job description Full time positionTasks includesMaintain, tests, service and repairs trucks and their mechanical parts including brakes, steering, transmissions and suspensionsDetecting, diagnosing and repairing faults in truck engines and partsRepairing and replacing worn and defective parts and referring to service manuals as neededPerforming scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups,
to achieve smoother running of vehiclesService and repair braking systemsDiagnose and repair heavy diesel vehicle shaftsTesting and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performanceDiagnosing and testing partsComplete all required documentation relating to NHVAS procedures in a timely and accurate mannerOther relevant tasks as requiredSkills and experienceThree years plus experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.Ability to carry out mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.Proven ability to meet deadlines and to make independent decisions.Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to work within a team environment.Possess a driver's licence.
