Facilities & Maintenance ManagerSalaried Full TimeSouthport Sharks is looking for an experienced Facilities & Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance, grounds, presentation, safety and compliance of our multi-use precinct, including the Club, Hotel, Health Club, Gaming, Food & Beverage areas and Grounds.Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is responsible for ensuring our facilities are safe, compliant, well-presented and maintained in line with business needs.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can lead from the front, manage competing priorities and get things done.What You'll DoLead the Maintenance and Grounds teamsManage reactive, planned and preventative maintenanceOversee contractors, suppliers, quotes and completion of worksEnsure WHS, fire safety, building compliance and statutory requirements are metWork closely with Risk & Compliance and operational leadersManage facilities projects, capital works and improvement initiativesMonitor costs, budgets and contractor performanceMaintain strong asset presentation and operational readinessAbout You.




You will bring:Experience in facilities, maintenance, property or precinct managementExperience leading maintenance, grounds, trades or operational teamsStrong contractor, compliance and preventative maintenance knowledgeA practical, hands-on leadership styleStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work in a busy, rapid-paced operational environmentFlexibility RequiredSouthport Sharks operates across a 7-day period.
This role requires flexibility to work in line with business demand, including early starts, evenings, weekends, public holidays, event periods or urgent maintenance requirements when needed.What we are looking for:Trade qualificationFirst Aid and CPRExperience in clubs, hospitality, hotels, health clubs or multi-use precinctsExperience with MaintainX, BMS, Uptick Fire or similar systemsIf you are a proactive facilities leader who enjoys leading from the front and making things happen, we would love to hear from you.
