EGC plays a pivotal role in supercharging outcomes across tourism, events, arts & culture and education, with a clear objective of positioning the Gold Coast as the lifestyle capital of Australia.Position OverviewWe're seeking a Culinary Arts Supervisor to play a key leadership role in our food and beverage operations across the HOTA precinct, ensuring world-class service for our patrons and clients.This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for delivering high-quality customer experiences, and enjoys supporting events that are as bold and creative as our programming.Key ResponsibilitiesConsistently deliver and model exceptional service that exceeds visitor expectationsSupervise the setup, operation, and pack down of events and food and beverage outletsMaintain security of cash and stock, and perform reconciliations as requiredConduct inductions, train new team members, and support team developmentComplete daily operational reports, event run sheets, and compliance documentationAssist with staff rostering, opening and closing duties, and general venue operationsEnsure high standards of cleanliness and presentation across all service areasPromote HOTA facilities and build positive relationships with patrons and team membersEnsure smooth event delivery aligned with Standard Operating ProceduresMonitor and support staff performance and maintain strong team moraleManage stock control, rotation,
and support cost monitoring in line with budget targetsHandle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalismThe Ideal Candidate Will HaveDemonstrated experience in hospitality or event operations, ideally in a leadership or supervisory roleA proactive, service-driven approach with strong attention to detailAbility to supervise a team in a high-paced, dynamic workplace.Confidence in managing teams, training staff, and driving high-performance cultureExcellent communication and organisational skillsStrong organisational and communication skillsFlexibility to work across a 7-day roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidaysQualificationsResponsible Service of Alcohol certification.Join us in creating unforgettable experiences at HOTA!
