Sales Representative - Traffic Management EquipmentThis is a sales-driven role with a practical, hands-on technical component.
You will be the first point of contact for customers seeking traffic management equipment, providing product advice, preparing quotes, and supporting hire companies and sales enquiries.
Alongside your sales duties, you will assist with basic assembly, configuration, and servicing of our equipment sold.
This ensures you understand the products thoroughly and can confidently support customer needs.
This role suits someone who enjoys customer interaction, problem-solving, and occasional workshop work.Key responsibilitiesRespond to inbound enquiries from civil contractors, councils, and traffic management and hire companiesPrepare sales and hire quotes; process orders and follow up leadsProvide product demonstrations and explain features, software tools, and control systemsMaintain strong relationships with existing customers and support new business opportunitiesAssist customers with product selection and technical questions, utilising our 'help desk'Assist with assembly of trailers, mounts, and hardware using hand and power toolsConfigure power systems, batteries, actuators, and LED display screensTest communication systems, GPS trackers,



and remote cellular control softwarePerform basic diagnostics and servicing on fleet and customer unitsAbout youProven experience in sales, customer service, or account management, ideally in a technical, industrial, or equipment-based environmentConfident communicator who can build rapport quickly and support customers through the full sales cycleComfortable explaining product features, demonstrating equipment, and guiding customers toward the right solutionMechanically or electrically minded, with the ability to learn how our equipment worksStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to get hands-on when requiredCurrent Australian driver's licence - Medium ridged truck licence desirableLF Forklift licence and White Card desirableRequired to commute to our Minto facilityAbout usData Signs Pty Ltd is a leading Australian manufacturer of premium traffic management and road-safety technology.
