Emanate Technology is working with a federal government organisation undertaking a major data and technology uplift and is seeking an experienced Senior Data Test Analyst to join the team.This is an exciting opportunity for a tester with a robust data background to work across modern data platforms, data lakes and data pipelines, helping ensure data is accurate, reliable and fit for purpose.
You'll work closely with developers, data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders in a collaborative Agile environment, playing a key role in delivering quality outcomes across large-scale data initiatives.About the RoleTest complex data platforms, data lakes, data products and data pipelinesValidate data quality, business rules and transformation logicPerform reconciliation testing and end-to-end data validationInvestigate data issues and conduct root cause analysisDevelop and execute test plans, test cases and test scriptsWrite and execute complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy and integrityDevelop and maintain automated testing capabilities using Python and SQLSupport regression testing, release testing and UAT activitiesWork closely with delivery teams to identify and resolve defectsContribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and quality practicesAbout You5+ years' experience in Software Testing, QA or Test AnalysisStrong experience testing data lakes, data warehouses,



analytics platforms or other large-scale data environmentsAdvanced SQL skills with experience validating complex datasets and data transformationsHands-on experience with data lake testing, ETL/ELT testing, data reconciliation and data quality validationExperience developing automated testing solutions using PythonStrong understanding of testing methodologies, test planning and defect managementExperience using Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub or similar toolsExperience supporting or leading UAT activitiesExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsHighly RegardedData migration testing experienceExposure to DatabricksUnderstanding of Data Mesh and Data Product conceptsExperience working in cloud-based data environmentsPrevious experience delivering within government or large enterprise environmentsWhat's on Offer?
