Our work ranges from fit-outs and make-good works through to multi-million-dollar industrial builds and engineered steel structures.We're looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to take ownership of projects from estimating handover through to practical completion, handover and defects close-out.This is a hands-on role with real autonomy, with the benefit of plenty of support.
You'll have direct access to the directors and work closely with estimating, administration, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects commercially sound, well run and moving forward.What you'll ownProject programme, budget, cost-to-complete and marginSubcontractor procurement, coordination and performanceProgress claims, variations and contract administrationDesign, engineering, approvals and consultant coordinationSite safety, quality and complianceClient and stakeholder relationshipsPractical completion, handover and defectsDirection and support of supervisors and site teamsEarly identification and resolution of project and commercial risksYou won't be buried under layers of management.
We expect our Project Managers to take ownership, make decisions and communicate clearly, with support available when they need it.Key skills and experience requiredYou'll be someone who knows how to run a construction project properly and takes pride in the outcome.
You'll bring the following key skills and experienceExperience delivering commercial,



industrial or residential projects end-to-endStrong commercial awareness and construction contract administration skillsConfidence managing subcontractors, suppliers, and clientsThe ability to read architectural, structural and shop drawingsWorking knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards and Queensland WHS requirementsStrong organisation, judgement and problem-solving skillsClear, practical communicationCurrent White Card and C-class driver licenceA QBCC Site Supervisor licence and/or trade, engineering or construction management qualification would be advantageous.Why join XXL?
