This is a full-time position that combines technical estimating expertise with supervisory responsibilities.
In this role, you will play a critical part in our construction operations, overseeing project costing, resource allocation, and team coordination.
You will report directly to management and be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This position is based on-site in South Brisbane, QLD ****.What you'll be doingPrepare accurate and detailed construction cost estimates for projects of varying sizes and complexityReview architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop comprehensive estimatesAnalyse material costs, labour requirements, plant and equipment needs, and overhead expensesSupervise and coordinate construction teams on-site, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgetsConduct site inspections and progress assessments to monitor project performanceLiaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to clarify project requirements and resolve issuesMaintain detailed records of estimates, costs, and project variationsMentor and provide guidance to junior team members and estimating staffIdentify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions without compromising qualityPrepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholdersWhat we're looking forProven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years in the roleDemonstrated supervisory experience, managing teams and coordinating on-site operationsStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, costs, and industry standardsProficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word,
