The RoleA federal government agency needs a Senior Business Analyst to help business areas shape proposals, define outcomes, and navigate its investment pipeline and governance processes.
This is not a purely technical BA role.
You'll work across business, enabling functions and technical specialists to connect strategic intent with practical delivery, spanning cloud, infrastructure, endpoint management, automation and collaboration platforms.Key DutiesCollaborate with stakeholders and system owners to translate requirements into strategic work packagesCollate and analyse data to provide clear, evidence-based options for decision‐makingUse process modelling and analysis to define needs and opportunities, focused on business outcomesGuide business areas in shaping proposals through the investment pipeline and governance processesFacilitate prioritisation discussions and help stakeholders weigh trade‐offsBuild and maintain strong stakeholder relationships internally and externallyAbout You3-5 years experience as a Business Analyst in a program,



project or portfolio function, delivering under limited guidanceProven ability to engage stakeholders across business and technical teams to elicit needs and agree prioritiesStrong facilitation skills, guiding discussions and helping teams land on transparent outcomesSkilled at translating between business and technical perspectives so solutions stay fit for purposeTrack record supporting capability uplift or process improvementExcellent written and verbal communication, comfortable building trust in complex environmentsContract DetailsThis is a contract position based onsite in Canberra, ACT, running from an ASAP start through to 30 June ****, with a 12 month extension option.
Standard hours are up to 40 per week.
