We're partnering with a well-established Australian business within the automotive aftermarket sector to recruit a Customer Administration Officer to join their team.Reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager, this role has been created as part of a long-term succession planning strategy and offers an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career within a growing and respected organisation.This position would particularly suit someone from the collision repair, automotive aftermarket, panel or paint industry looking to transition into a customer-focused office environment while leveraging their industry knowledge.To set you up for success, you'll spend approximately the first 3-4 months based at the company's Altona North Distribution Centre, gaining hands-on exposure to products, operations and customer processes.
This structured onboarding period will provide valuable insight into the business and product range, helping you build confidence when supporting customers and internal stakeholders.
Following this initial training period, the role will transition to the company's Hawthorn office, where it will be permanently based.The OpportunityWorking within a close-knit customer service team, you'll become a key point of contact for customers, supporting enquiries, order management and administrative activities that contribute to a seamless customer experience.You'll gain a strong understanding of the business,



products and customer base while becoming an important part of the organisation's future succession plans.Key ResponsibilitiesProcessing customer orders accurately and efficientlyManaging customer enquiries via phone and emailProviding professional customer support and product informationCoordinating with warehouse and operations teams regarding orders and deliveriesMaintaining accurate customer and order recordsAssisting with administration associated with customer orders and accountsResolving customer enquiries and service-related issuesSupporting the wider customer service and sales teams as requiredAssisting with process improvements and general administrative dutiesWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, thrives in a team environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.Ideally, you'll have:Previous experience in customer service, administration, sales support or order processingStrong communication and relationship-building skillsExcellent organisational skills and attention to detailA proactive and solutions-focused mindsetConfidence managing multiple prioritiesStrong computer literacy and experience using business systemsExperience within the collision repair, automotive, panel, paint or aftermarket industry will be highly regarded, but is not essential.Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career, contribute to a high-performing team and become part of the organisation's future growth plans.Why Join?
