This is an opportunity to step into a hands-on HR & OHS position where you'll have genuine exposure across recruitment, employee experience, workplace health and safety, compliance and people systems, while working closely with the HR Manager and leaders across the business.About the roleThis is a varied HR & OHS Officer position.

You'll play an important role in helping create a workplace where people can perform at their best and go home safe every day.Key responsibilitiesCoordinate day-to-day HR administration and maintain accurate employee records and people systems, including SageSupport managers with position descriptions, recruitment requisitions and job advertisementsCoordinate recruitment activities, including reference checks and background enquiriesPrepare and maintain employment contracts, HR documentation, position descriptions and Fair Work StatementsCoordinate end-to-end onboarding and induction activitiesManage the casual contractor pool and act as the key contact for recruitment agenciesMaintain confidential employee records and personnel histories with a high degree of accuracyAssist the Global HR Manager with the delivery of the broader HR strategyHelp develop and implement initiatives that promote a safe,



healthy and positive workplaceConduct regular workplace safety inspections and audits and recommend practical risk controlsPromote safe work practices and a strong safety-first cultureCoordinate safety training programs and support ongoing safety awarenessPlan and co-chair the OHS CommitteeCoordinate emergency procedures and preparedness activitiesAdminister the safety management system, ensuring safety matters are accurately recorded, monitored and closed outReview and update safety policies and procedures in consultation with the Global HR ManagerAdminister the Rapid Global contractor management system, including inductions, insurance, licensing and compliance requirementsLiaise with contractors and relevant stakeholders to resolve and monitor compliance mattersCoordinate waste management activities across local SDI sitesAbout youRecent graduate with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Human ResourcesCertificate IV in Health & SafetyExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong attention to detail and a high level of accuracyAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionallyStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlinesGood numerical and mathematical aptitudeStrong computer literacy and confidence working with systems and Microsoft OfficeA practical, solutions-focused approach to HR and safetyExperience within a manufacturing environment (highly regarded)Experience with HRIS or people management systems, particularly Sage (highly regarded)Why this role stands outThis isn't a role where you'll be tucked away doing paperwork.You'll have the opportunity to build your HR career while developing valuable OHS capability, working directly with employees, managers, supervisors, contractors and senior HR leadership.You'll gain exposure toWhat you'll bringWe're looking for someone who is ready to take ownership, learn quickly and make things happen.Recent graduate with a Bachelor of Business,
