The business delivers carpentry solutions across projects, focusing on workmanship quality, structural accuracy, and compliance with construction and safety standards.They are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join their team in Sydenham VIC.The RoleThe Carpenter is responsible for carrying out residential carpentry works including framing, installation, finishing, and structural construction activities in accordance with project specifications and building requirements.This is a full time position with an annual salary of $80,000 to $83,000 plus superannuationThe ResponsibilitiesInstall fixtures, windows, cabinetry and trims to enhance interior aesthetics and functionalityFit door locksets, deadbolts and hardware according to manufacturer instructions and site requirementsPerform framing, finish work and restoration carpentry tasks across residential construction projectsMeasure, shape and cut materials to specified dimensions using hand tools, machines and power sawsRead and interpret plans, measurements and site instructions for carpentry workConstruct and install structural frameworks, partitions, floors and roof components in accordance with project specificationsAssemble and install timber structures, fittings and prefabricated building materials on residential sitesOperate and maintain carpentry tools, woodworking machinery and construction equipment safely and efficientlyMaintain high standards of workmanship,



cleanliness and workplace safety across all carpentry activitiesThe RequirementsCertificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualificationAt least 12 months' experience as a Carpenter within residential construction environmentsAt least 12 months' experience performing framing, finishing, and general carpentry installation works on residential projectsAt least 12 month's carpentry experience with LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) and CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) structural componentsAt least 12 month's carpentry experience installing and detailing HCS (Hybrid Cladding Systems), R/S (Roof Sarking), and VCL (Vapour Control Layer) with moisture management and weatherproofing specifications.At least 12 month's experience coordinating carpentry interfaces with engineered substrates including GLT beams, PFC, and commercial-grade acoustic and fire-rated timber systemsAt least 12 months' experience installing doors, windows, cabinetry, trims, and structural timber componentsStrong knowledge of residential construction methods, carpentry techniques, and building materialsAbility to measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately to project specificationsStrong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures and construction compliance standardsAbility to work independently and coordinate effectively with other trades and site personnelGood communication and problem-solving skills within construction site environmentsHigh attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality
