Our values are at the very heart of our firm and guide the way we interact within our firm's teams, with our clients, and the way we interact and engage with you.About the roleWe are seeking a Senior Consultant, to join our highly skilled specialist tax team, who provide tax advice to public, private and multinational companies across many diverse sectors.
This role has a particular focus on funds management, however you will also get the opportunity to work across private and multinational companies.Working closely with the Partners and Managers of the division, you will be responsible for delivering a high level of service and present complex tax advice to clients and staff.You will take full responsibility and ownership of allocated jobs and manage your own workflow under the direction of your manager.
This involves planning, delegating, and reviewing work, and passing on completed assignments to your manager for review.




You will also develop relationships with clients and deal with their queries and assist Managers in helping to lead a team of staff.Key responsibilitiesLiaise with clients on a day-to-day basis, providing a quality and timely servicePrepare and present accurate and timely complex taxation returns and workpapersUndertake tax planning for clients and identify and resolve tax issuesUpdate and review electronic and paper taxation publications to the standard required by the FirmPrepare client correspondenceResearch and draft taxation advice with limited supervisionReview the taxation implications of prospectuses and undertake due diligence and other special workIdentify and develop existing and potential business opportunitiesDevelop an area of expertise recognised throughout the FirmDelegate, oversee and review compliance work of junior staffProvide input to Managers/Partners on staff issues and status of client obligations, issues and workPresent to the Taxation Group and the wider firm on relevant areas of tax reformAssist with potential and new client opportunities or initiativesAdministrative matters such as maintenance of electronic timesheets, preparation of bills, managing WIPs,



interviewing prospective candidates, training, committee membership, marketing, etcSkills and experienceA minimum of 2 years' experience working in a Tax setting in a Chartered/CPA accounting practiceDegree qualified and near to qualifying or fully qualified as a CA/CPA/Master of TaxTechnically proficient and up to date with developments in taxation lawSolid understanding of various tax resourcesExperience dealing with corporate tax and private client groupsFunds management experience will be highly regardedAbility to review the work of junior members of staff and identify any issues and opportunitiesPrior experience working with and developing good relationships with clientsExcellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines for a large group of clientsAbility to mentor and coach junior members of staffPresent professionally and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skillsPrior experience working with APS, Solution 6 and be competent in Microsoft Office applicationsBest kept secrets of SWProgressive firm, with excellent career opportunitiesHybrid working environment2 additional AL days per year18 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers and 3 weeks for non-primaryRefer to client and refer a friend bonus schemeEmployee Assistance Program and Wellness perksAssistance with home office setupSocial ClubTailored Learning and Development ProgramPaid Course/study leave1 paid professional membership per yearWeekly lunch provided
