Head of Learning Area - Inclusive EducationThe College is seeking applications for the following position:Head of Learning Area - Inclusive Education(Ongoing – Full-time, commencing 1 January ****)The RoleOur Lady of Mercy College Australind is seeking an experienced and passionate educational leader to join our leadership team as Head of Learning Area – Inclusive Education.This key role will provide strategic and operational leadership across inclusive education, with a focus on ensuring all students can access, participate in and achieve success in their learning.
The successful applicant will lead the College's approach to student support, intervention, personalised learning and transition planning.The role will work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, College leaders, CEWA consultants, allied health professionals and external agencies to support positive educational outcomes and student wellbeing.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and implementation of a whole-school approach to inclusive educationLead the Inclusive Education Team and build staff capability in inclusive pedagogy, differentiation,



disability awareness and reasonable adjustmentsCoordinate student support planning, including Individual Education Plans, Personalised Learning Plans, Behaviour Support Plans and Transition PlansLead NCCD processes and coordinate Students with Disability funding applications, moderation, audits and reviewsCoordinate learning interventions across areas including literacy, numeracy and executive functioningSupport staff to use assessment and diagnostic data to identify learning needs and evaluate student progressCoordinate reasonable adjustments and disability provisions for assessments, NAPLAN, OLNA and SCSA requirementsEnsure compliance with relevant legislation, CEWA policies and educational requirementsLead transition planning for students with disability and additional learning needs, including post-school pathwaysBuild solid partnerships with families, allied health professionals and external agenciesProvide strategic advice to the Principal and Executive Team on inclusive education, accessibility, intervention and student achievement.Applications close 4:00 pm, Monday 24 August ****.
