The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity now exists for an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join the firm's Brisbane insurance team.
You'll work with highly experienced senior practitioners on a varied portfolio of public liability and general liability claims, acting for major insurers, corporate insureds and other sophisticated clients.
The role offers a strong mix of autonomy, client contact, technically compelling matters and opportunities to mentor more junior lawyers.
The work will include:
Complex public liability claimsPersonal injury and property damage mattersMulti-party liability disputesHigh-value and catastrophic injury claimsIndemnity and coverage issuesClaims involving construction, property and other commercial settingsMediations, negotiations and court proceedings
About You
Strong experience in defendant insurance, particularly public liabilitySenior Associate or Special Counsel level experienceExcellent technical, drafting and analytical skillsStrong client relationship and stakeholder management capabilityA practical, commercially focused approach to claimsAn interest in mentoring and developing junior lawyersCollaborative, approachable and solutions-focused
