Clinical Nurse Educator / Consultant – High Intensity SupportsLa Vita Care is looking for an experienced senior nurse to work with us in strengthening clinical practice and staff capability for people with complex and high-intensity support needs.This is a adaptable clinical education and practice development role rather than a traditional nursing shift role.
It may particularly suit a Clinical Nurse Educator, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Clinical Nurse Consultant or senior RN looking to apply their expertise in a different setting, potentially alongside an existing clinical role.Key responsibilitiesWork with individual clients and their care teams to understand their clinical requirementsDevelop clear, practical and client-specific Health Management Plans and worker guidanceTranslate complex clinical information into practical day-to-day supportProvide staff education, practical training, coaching and competency supportContribute to broader clinical governance and continuous practice improvementAbout youYou will be an experienced Registered Nurse with strong clinical judgement and an ability to make complex care understandable and practical for others.Ideally, you will bring:Current AHPRA registrationSenior experience in acute care, ICU, complex community care and/or disabilityExperience in clinical education,



staff development or practice improvementExperience with enteral feeding/PEG, ventilation/respiratory support and dysphagia/mealtime managementExperience developing clinical plans, staff guidance, training resources or competency toolsA practical and collaborative approach to working with clients, frontline staff and managersDisability or NDIS high-intensity support experience would be highly regarded, but we are equally interested in experienced clinicians from acute, ICU, respiratory, rehabilitation or other complex-care settings who can bring strong clinical and education capability.Flexible contract work that can fit alongside an existing clinical roleApply your clinical expertise beyond traditional direct nursing careWork closely with our team and have a genuine influence on practiceBring your experience, approaches and resources to help build sustainable clinical capabilityPotential for an ongoing clinical advisory, education and practice development relationshipLa Vita Care is a Melbourne disability support provider.
