We are currently seekingmultiple Front Lift / Hook Operatorsto join a growing waste services team inTownsville.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced waste truck drivers, as well as HR drivers looking to develop their skills in the waste industry.
A pathway to permanent employment is available for the right candidates.
About the Role
Location:Townsville, QLD
Pay Rate:$***** per hour + applicable penalties
Employment:Temp to Perm
Hours:38 hours per week
Start Time:4:45am starts – early birds required!
Travel:Occasional travel to Ayr may be required, with a vehicle and fuel provided for work-related travel
Industry:Waste Management / Collection Services
Key Responsibilities
Operate front lift / hook collection vehicles and associated equipment
Safely load and unload bins and materials
Deliver loads to nominated recycling and disposal facilities
Complete daily pre-starts and vehicle maintenance checks
Assist with bin runner duties when required
Move and position large bins, requiring a reasonable level of physical fitness
Interact professionally with customers and members of the public
Follow workplace health and safety procedures
Ensure safe operation of vehicles and equipment at all times
Essential Requirements
Unrestricted Heavy Rigid (HR) Australian Licence OR Class 4 NZ Licence – minimum
HR B-Synchro licences are suitable
Ability to successfully obtain aDefence Pass, including a security/police check




Driver History Report
Commitment to safe work practices
Ability to work early morning starts
Front lift / hook truck experience is highly desirable.
Candidates with limited HR driving experience may also be considered and can undertake additional training where required.

WH&S; certificate must be presented to the site manager on arrival
