A-Grade Solar & Battery Electrician – Full-Time In-House Role

Sunrise Innovations is looking for an experienced A-Grade Solar & Battery Electrician to join our business as a permanent, in-house team member.
n
This is an important hire for our business.
n
We have a strong and growing pipeline of residential solar and battery installations across Melbourne and Victoria, and we are now investing in building our own internal installation capability.
n
We are not looking for another subcontract crew.
n
We are looking for an experienced solar electrician who wants to become a key part of an established renewable energy business, take ownership of high-quality installations and help us build an exceptional internal installation team around them.
n
The Role
n
You will initially work hands-on across residential solar PV and battery installations throughout Melbourne and surrounding areas.
n
As our internal installation division grows, there is genuine opportunity for the right person to progress into a Leading Hand / Installation Supervisor position and play a major role in developing and leading additional internal crews.
n
Your work will include:
n
n
Battery energy storage system installations
n
Hybrid inverter installations and upgrades
n
Switchboard and associated electrical works
n
System commissioning and testing
n
Fault finding and rectification
n
Working with our operations team to deliver installations efficiently and professionally
n
Maintaining excellent workmanship, safety and compliance standards
n




Assisting with the development and mentoring of apprentices and additional installers as the internal team grows
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
To be considered, you will ideally have:
n
n
Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence
n
Current Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accreditation for grid-connected PV
n
Current SAA battery accreditation / endorsement
n
Demonstrated experience installing residential solar PV systems
n
Demonstrated experience installing battery storage systems
n
Strong knowledge of current Australian Standards and Victorian electrical requirements
n
Experience commissioning solar inverters and battery systems
n
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
n
White Card
n
A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
n
Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers
n
Experience with leading an installation crew, supervising apprentices or managing installations will be highly regarded.

Qualifications are essential, but so is attitude.
n
We want someone who takes pride in their installations, doesn't cut corners and wants the job completed properly.
n
You should be comfortable taking responsibility for an installation, communicating with customers and working closely with our operations team.
n
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants more than simply turning up, completing an install and going home.
n
