We are looking for an experienced Senior Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Nurse to join our high‐performing team. The role involves stabilising critical patients, mentoring junior nurses, and collaborating with veterinarians to deliver exceptional emergency care.

Responsibilities
n
n
Deliver high‐quality emergency and critical care nursing to a diverse patient caseload.
n
Monitor and care for complex, hospitalised and critically ill patients.
n
Assist veterinarians with emergency procedures, diagnostics, anaesthesia and advanced treatments.
n
Perform patient triage and support emergency admissions.
n
Provide exceptional care and communication to pet owners during challenging circumstances.
n
Maintain accurate patient records and uphold high clinical and hospital standards.
n
Support the onboarding and development of new and junior nurses.
n
Provide guidance, coaching and knowledge‐sharing during shifts.
n
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best‐practice nursing care.
n
Assist in maintaining a positive, collaborative and high‐performing team culture.
n
Act as a senior clinical resource for colleagues when required.
n

Qualifications & Skills
n
n
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).
n
Solid experience in emergency and critical care nursing.
n
Solid clinical skills and confidence managing emergency presentations.
n
Passion for mentoring and supporting less experienced nurses.
n
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
n
Ability to remain calm, organised and adaptable in a fast‐paced environment.
n
Commitment to delivering outstanding patient and client care.
n
Collaborative approach and positive attitude.
n
Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
n
Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
