Job Description
We are seeking a highly capable project delivery professional (known internally as a Principal Project Coordinator) to lead and oversee the delivery of multiple complex building and infrastructure projects from the planning and pre-design phase through to practical completion.

About the role:
n In this role, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering significant infrastructure initiatives across Queensland.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Undertake high level planning to develop the current packages for implementation with school and early childhood communities across Queensland
n
Lead, manage and coordinate all aspects of project and program delivery including financial and human resources, initial planning, construction and commissioning of multiple complex project
n
Lead and report against key sub-programs and significant projects within the Department's Investment Program.
n
Develop, maintain and monitor critical relationships with clients, stakeholders and service providers
n
Contribute to the continuous improvement agendas, including the development of business plans and processes to promote best practice
n
Provide high level support to unit managers by retaining an interest in creating, maintaining, renewing and improving built environments for the benefit of end users.
n
Prepare coherent and politically sensitive reports, correspondence and submissions to key stakeholders and clients.
n
Provide advice and guidance to other staff including administration and financial teams.
n
n
About You
n To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:
n
n
Previous experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Infrastructure Delivery Manager or similar position
n
Experience in the coordination and delivery of complex building, infrastructure or capital works projects
n
Strong project management skills, maintaining a clear focus on broader program objectives
n
Strong commercial acumen
n
Ability to identify opportunities for better ways of working and contributing to continuous improvement
n
Ability to remain focused and effective in environments involving competing priorities, ambiguity and change, whilst making considered, ethical and well-informed decisions
n
Ability to build enduring relationships and working collaboratively with clients, communities, service providers and internal stakeholders.
n
n
Previous experience in a similar role within Government or similar complex organisation would be highly beneficial. Additional experience across large Capital Works infrastructure projects (hospitals, schools, stadiums etc) will be highly desirable.

Initial 2-year contract, with potential for extension
n
Up to $107 per Hour + 12% Superannuation
n
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
n
