Medical Receptionist (Full time, Part time or Casual)

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our busy bulk-billed family practice in Toongabbie for 3-5 days a week. If you enjoy working in a supportive environment and pride yourself on excellent customer service, this could be the perfect role for you. We are looking for a receptionist with prior experience in a medical centre.

About the Role:
n
n
Flexible position: part-time or casual hours available
n
Practice hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM, and Saturdays, 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM
n
Using Best Practice (BP) software for patient bookings and clinical management
n
Processing Medicare, private, and WorkCover billings, including EFTPOS and HICAPS transactions.
n
Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and administrative staff to provide exceptional patient care
n
Greeting and assisting patients in person and over the phone with professionalism and empathy
n
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Greeting and registering patients on arrival
n
Managing phone calls, appointments, and patient enquiries
n




Processing payments and Medicare/HICAPS claims
n
Scanning and filing medical documents accurately
n
Maintaining the cleanliness of the waiting area and consultation rooms
n
Supporting doctors with administrative and operational tasks
n
Ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
n
n
Requirements:
n
n
Prior medical reception experience essential
n
Experience using Best Practice (BP) or similar clinical software (highly regarded)
n
Excellent communication and time management skills
n
Strong attention to detail
n
Ability to multitask in a busy environment
n
Professional presentation and a positive, team-oriented attitude
n
Proficiency in email and fax management
n
